Priska Comploi was born in the Ladin Val Badia in South Tyrol (Italy). She acquired her first diploma in recorder at the Conservatory “C. Monteverdi” in Bolzano. She continued her studies with Conrad Steinmann at the Schola Cantorum in Basel and together with colleagues from Basel she found the Ensemble “Opera Prima”.
Then she studied baroque oboe with Alfredo Bernardini at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam and completed her studies with a Master of Arts in musical performance with Katharina Arfken in Basel.
As a recorder and oboe player she regularly performs with ensembles and baroque orchestras such as I Barocchisti (Fasolis), Il Giardino Armonico (Antonini), Kammerorchester Basel, Ensemble Diferencias, Concerto Italiano (Fabio Biondi), Ghislieri Choir&Consort (Prandi) and many others. Her musical career lead her to give concerts in Europe, India, Georgia, and South America. She teaches recorder at the Musikschule Riehen and at the Musikschule Küsnacht.
